What's in the zip
- ios/AppIcon.appiconset: every iPhone, iPad and App Store size with Contents.json. Replace the folder in Assets.xcassets.
- android/: mipmap folders from mdpi to xxxhdpi with square, round and adaptive foreground icons, the adaptive icon XML, a background color resource, and a 512 × 512 Play Store icon.
- web/: favicon.ico (16, 32, 48), PNG favicons, apple-touch-icon, 192 and 512 icons and a site.webmanifest.
Tips
Keep important details inside the middle two thirds of the image. Android adaptive icons are masked into circles, squircles or rounded squares depending on the phone, and only the center 66% is always visible. Turn on padding if your art touches the edges.
FAQ
What size should my source image be?
Use a square image of at least 1024 × 1024 pixels. Smaller images work, but large icons like the App Store and Play Store sizes will look soft. Non-square images are centered and fitted or cropped, depending on the setting.
Why does the iOS icon get a solid background?
App Store icons cannot contain transparency, so transparent areas are filled with your background color. iOS applies the rounded corners itself, so the exported files are plain squares.
What are the Android adaptive icon files?
Android 8 and newer draw launcher icons from a foreground layer and a background color. The zip includes ic_launcher_foreground.png at every density, the XML that wires them up, and a colors file with your background. Copy the folders into app/src/main/res.
Does it work for Unity and Godot?
Yes. Unity needs the individual sizes in Player Settings or uses the generated iOS and Android projects, and Godot export presets take the 1024 or 432 pixel images. Use the files from the matching platform folder.
